The red BSA Thunderbolt is owned by a drinking mate. Not many bikes today as there was a bike show at Copdock.

250 miles from Becerril de Campos to Pinhao. Quite a contrast between fast Spanish highways and, as soon as we entered Portugal, roads that twisted around steep hillsides.

I have recently had five new tyres and 2-eared spinners fitted.
So this evening before the forecast thunderstorms arrive and the dusty backroads turn to mud, I took the car for a blast in the New Forest (I would of course be marked-down for the blades of grass on the tyres...).
I've also "gone minimal" and removed the spare wheel cover and the luggage rack, as I really don't have any plans for touring.

Looking at your tail pipes, is it a standard exhaust system you got on your roadster? Although mine is an earlier model, my tail pipes are different. They are 75mm across and look like bluntly cut pipes.

Mine is a 2009 Ser 2, and the exhaust was on the car when I bought it in Summer 2021. The previous owner had the car for over a decade and it looks the same on the photos from his ownership, and it also looks like the pics in the Roadster brochure. (The original owner had the car 2 years, but there are no Invoices from that era so I can't tell if he changed it). Anyhow there's a 2008 car for sale at https://www.pistonheads.com/buy/listing/13344936 and that seems to be the same.

Pulled it out of the garage to cut some drywall for a kitchen remodel that I'm working on and backed it in when I was finished... smile.

Series 1 and 2 had round exhaust tips. Series 3 3.0 had oval and slightly bevelled exhaust tips.
