I have just managed to buy a Becker Mexico ,however I noticed on the box that there are two different models,a7948 or7942,Both use the same faciia etc.....but does anyone know the difference between the two models?

They updated the unit whilst it was in production (firmware and some tweeks), I believe the 7948 was the later model.

Lucky you - I know how difficult it is to find these! Would you let me know how you get on with the installation. I have one awaiting fitment to my 'Max and don't know whether to have the factory do it or - if more straightfoward - entrust it to the local Morgan dealer or audio specialist.

Aeromax...I have already had the audio unit out to inspect what's behind,looks fairly straight forward,the audio people concerned have installed them into a few Aston Db5s etc ...
