Thanks Ian, I wasn't too cold, but my daughter got a bit chilled in the back! I have a 4 seater. She and her husband even refused to have the sidescreens on. It isn't too far for us, although the road closures made it nearer 16miles than 11. The biggest problem both going and returning was the low sun directly ahead.

I was there on Friday and saw only one other Morgan (arriving as I was leaving). It is a large car park, so there may have been others.

Wish my 129 mile drive had been all of 16.

Nice run out to Southwold and then onto the Plough Inn for lunch avoidng the funeral.
Road traffic was very light with the streets nearly deserted.

Neil and I drove over to Stone Audio, which opened for us, so Neil could audition some hiFi, we both felt that we didn't need to sit through the Funeral Service.
The subsequent parade was simply amazing....

I shall miss the Queen, she did a stunning job over so many years. Yes, I'm a Royalist, but not a supporter of the Established Church, (or any organised faith) all of which need to catch up with the world.

Dropped by a pal's place to use the pit in his barn to fit the 90° speedo drive to the type 9 box ... took him out for a run ... he seemed to enjoy it 🙂

I like the other one too, where were you in Denmark - I ask as we worked out there near Tonder for a year and toured around a lot at the time.

You've started something now mentioning fish again laugh2

And again we a touring in Denmark so now an explanation for you.

On sunday we could see the SAR teams leaving for an emergency.

I think they had to help one of the many surfers on the north sea coast because the left the harbour with a van, a small speedboat and the bigger "SAR ship" (I dont know the english term for this ship).

Even though the waves were not very high and we only had wind forces of 8-10bft, I became aware of what the volunteers on such ships achieve....

Just returned in Morton from a visit to family just north of Hull. Spent a couple of nights in local hotel and as the day was free yesterday had a trip down memory lane exploring childhood haunts in the sleepy villages of the Yorkshire Wolds.

Photo here of view from what must be one of the highest points north of Market Weighton. From here you can view into Lincolnshire beyond the river Humber which can be seen to the south, with York to the west, maybe even Leeds under clearer conditions.

Continued north through Malton and on to Thornton-le-Dale to visit the lovely village and Mathewsons car auctions, which seemed to be benefitting from the TV exposure aided by the sunshine. Derek was busy with a film crew showing this recently arrived Renault Alpine which looked in good order under the dust.

Then cut across country, exchanging waves with a maroon and silver Mog heading north, and on to the coast for a plate of seafood and a coffee at Bridlington harbour.

Routed back inland, again via the Wolds to find I'd covered close to 140 miles on arrival back at hotel. A few beers and a curry with family that evening rounded off a splendid day.
