Driving home earlier this week I went to turn the Radio on, only to find it was dead. I've been hankering after the rather lovely Retro Look Blaupunkt Bremen SQR 46 DAB, but it is almost £350.00.This could be the opportunity I wanted... But before I shot off an order I thought I should make a token effort to check the connections, so I could make a convincing argument to SWMBO . The Alpine DAB radio is about 10 years old and is fed directly from the ignition, as MMC intended but there is a secondary feed from the battery to power the memory and so on. To my disappointment I found the fuse in this second feed was lose in its holder... I pushed it down so it seated correctly and turned on the Radio, it worked. Opportunity lost...

My English is not really good, didn't Peter write that the fuse was not the cause? It's not your English Heinz but Peter's  He should have written the fuse was loose (not making good connection) in the holder.

The solution to the possible problem is a zip tie round the fuse and holder...
Spelling is known to be prone to errors, mostly down to dyslexia...

Many years ago the Dyslexia Society produced a book of cartoons - on the front were two people coming out of the Dyslexia Society to be faced with a man with a large, shaggy, horned beast on a lead. Said one dyslexic to the other "Put your hands up - he`s got a gnu.".I think it`s great when those of us who have some sort of disability can laugh at ourselves.
