The school kids would be very surprised if they knew half of what was going on underneath my suit

Well the case of Aussie Red certainly seemed to help the Honey Badger, what a good finish but what are Ferrari doing? Do they run the car on E5 for Qually then fill it with diesel for the race. I read the report in the Tiffozi mag I get and allegedly Charles' tryes started to go off hence the 7 second deficit but if only he had pushed to the limit and got it down to under 5 seconds he would have won still-------you know whats coming----theres always next year???

So it's just as the paddock rumour mill was speculating, RB & AM found guilty of overspending their 2021 budgets. BBCSo slap on the wrist time or something harder??

Wouldn't it be interesting if they deducted points from the RB drivers and handed the 2021 championship to Hamilton? Deemed as a "minor" infringement, so probably a slap on the wrist instead.

Seems most likely a penalty for the Manufacturer, rather than the driver. A fine, less windtunnel time... that sort of thing. While racing at that level is all about managing around the edges of the rules, it's no surprise that Red Bull took things further than the others - and then protest their innocence. Of course, if the overspend was on development, their drivers benefitted by having faster cars - in a very tight drivers championship it might have been the difference. We'll never know.

Some of the other teams are suggesting that it works out at about 0.1 of a second per lap time saving per £1m spent so the £5m overspend gave 0.5 seconds per lap advantage. Importantly the advantage is not just in the year of the offence but carries forward as the starting point for the following years car. I would have thought the only fair solution would be to reduce next years budget for those teams caught by the value of the overspend along with the value of the fine.

I thought the potential for penalty (even on the <5%) was quite broad as well as monetary. I have not seen where the complaint has been made against either 2022 or/and 2021 ? Does anyone have that clarity ?
Given how close last year was it would be interesting to see it applied as a points change and so change last years title. There was more than enough fluff and noise around how it got awarded already. Changing it now would make FIA look like total fools. Given where the points are this year I cannot see any value in changing it. I also think he/they have done a good job this year, however the car does seem to have an edge! It has often been said that they seem to have delivered new parts to many of the races which seems to support the issue.
Well, as transparent as ever eh?
