Having recently purchased a 2009 4/4 Sport, could someone tell me where to find the battery as I wish to fit a charger.
Thanks, Jack

the Battery is behind the passenger seat, if you remove the carpet you will see an alloy plate, remove this and the battery is in there.
Sorry I meant to say passenger not driver.

behope you are made of rubber and have multi joints on your arms and fingers because its a pig to get at and remove . I slipped and fell into the rear area while leaning over and my wife could not stop laughing wanted to take a photo of me legs up in the air .

It is also worth checking to see whether you can charge via the lighter socket (under the dash). I trickle charge my Plus 4(using a Ctek) via that socket and it is the easiest solution. Check to make sure the 4/4 has the same live socket and if so, that is another option for you.

It may be easier by removing the tool tray and working that way. Remember to fuse the circuit.

We 4/4 Sport owners don't have tool trays......we are stripped for action! That said, it is easy enough to take off the "boot" floor which gives you better access to the battery although I'd do for the lighter socket option....it stays live with the ignition off.

The Ctek is a good idea. Find a flat place near the battery and connect it permanently. M.
