I have the roller type pedal installed, nothing is loose and on new roads everything is fine.

Craig, do you have more details on the pedal you ordered from WP? Is this the 'GDi Accelerator Arm & Pedal' (they have different ones in their shop)?
If this also fits LHD cars I may order one.

Unless you have extremely bumpy roads, this throttle behaviour appears to be totally abnormal. This seems to be backed up by Heinz’ experiences in a similar model. Following his advice, before wasting money on pedal plates etc, I would strongly advise that you look first to see if it is indeed “fly by wire”. This means that there is only an electrical connection between the throttle pedal and the engine compartment, instead of the traditional bowden cable. If so, then I would strongly suspect a faulty or loose throttle position sensor.

I have a 2016 4/4 sport, so I assume it’s the same set up as yours.

All the info is here where I purchased mine.

Hi Doug, it is definitly 'fly by wire', the throttle position sensor is definitly not loose (just checked).

I will check the sensor before I order other parts.

@ Craig: thanks for the links!

I ordered just the pedal piece from them, not the arm. I unscrewed the roller and screwed the pedal on. I like it much better than the roller.

I don't know if it is still available since it isn't on their site. A call may be needed.

That would be nice to have. I can't heel-and-toe with the roller, and it's making me nuts.

Pauly...It's still on their site.

I didn't see it, but that's no surprise. Yes, heal/toe works with the pedal!

It's a fairly simple item, and I might have been able to make one myself. But it wasn't very expensive.
