- good to read your post Peter and that you are continuing to enjoy your Porsche experience drive

I do miss seeing Tarka at Morgan events - but that is also partly due to me being remiss too!

I hope that you and Caroline (and the horse!) continue to enjoy life to the full....

James

The world moves on and us with it, its great that you have found a car that gives you the pleasure of driving it, without the constant sometimes nagging doubt what next and can it be fixed! It's not necessarily the money spent but more the inconvenience of it all and the rising loss of confidence in its reliability when called upon/ needed, it maybe little things but they tend to grow in significance.

I've just acquire my 5th Morgan a Plus 4 sport, after having to sell the Roadster almost 2 years ago due to a fall when I hurt my back.

That period lead me to reflect on what I wanted from my ownership of a Morgan, to try and manage my expectation and reduce any potential inevitable frustration when the issue of reliability raises its head. So I tailored my expectations before the purchase as the inevitable did occur and it left me stranded by the roadside, within a week or so of a major service where every service item was changed/replaced. It turned out to be something simple but not obvious and of course expensive to investigate but cheap to fix.

I must admit whilst inconvenienced at the time, I'm a little more relaxed about it. I only use it on sunny days, its been a joy to drive when we do take it out, we won't be doing an continental tours in it, but will enjoy it within the UK, where should it prove necessary my RAC recovery can more easily come to my assistance.. A little sad but true, but I am enjoying it more within its limitations.
