That was easy! Nice job Dave

Have you decided to keep the disc?
Cheers Rog, easy when you have a mate who is a machinist for TFL with all the gear, turns out BSW is used a lot in the locomotive world so the central bolt came out of the stores and cutting a BSW thread did not represent any challenges at all.
I tried the new setup with and without the spacer and decided the spinner looked a fraction too small and isolated on its own.
However, when I added the spacer it framed the brass spinner perfectly with a ring of aluminum that ties in with the ally Le Mans style fuel filler cap, it's also a good way to ensure I don't lose the spacer which I will still use with the T-Bar when I'm using the luggage rack.
I was especially pleased with the way the Morgan logo/text ends up in the correct horizontal plane once the spinner is tightened down firmly with my 3/8" drive spinner socket that I use with a 38mm 3/8" drive Sealey SX115 low profile oil filter socket and my 3/8" drive breaker bar, this setup works perfectly as my go -to wheel brace.
looks good

Brass plated fuel filler cap next...... ??

James
I've considered this, I think it would look cool as would brass plating the chrome Plus 4 badge

However, the next jobs I'm lining up for the lathe with 'Project Brass' are four bonnet catches...

And four knurled side screen knobs too...

This places four small and subtle brass elements/references down each side of the car...

I'm pleased to say my backdating objective of turning old man Monty into a sporty 'vintage club racer' is coming together nicely
