My theory was that all the windscreens clip onto the body work via the locking rails. So my plan was to purchase the smaller Perspex ones further down the line and then I can chop and change as I like.

I phoned the dealership today just to double check this is how their fitted. He said that he thinks this is the case but not 100% sure.

Then I phoned Morgan themselves, I spoke to a sales man who also thinks this is the case but again wasn’t 100% sure. Though he mentioned the larger windscreen is actually “aftermarket” and therefore fitted by the dealerships and not Morgan. Though he couldn’t 100% confirm that they are fitted by the rails like the Perspex ones. He then mentioned that it wouldn’t be likely that the “aftermarket” windscreen I specced would be ready in time for my delivery in November. It must still be in development stage. So my car will likely be delivered with nothing at all. (Wife will love that lol)

So I’ve left my number with Morgan and hopefully they’ll ring me back with more info. I’m guessing I’m the only one who’s actually specced my car with the larger one!

Fingers crossed they are all interchangeable via the rails. Then I can have my car arrive with the Perspex ones and then buy the larger one I initially specced it with further down the line instead of the other way around.

If that makes sense.

Not that you can view the price list or options at the moment but I thought all the windscreens were "options" i.e. no windscreen is "standard". Aaaaahhh the joys of being in at the start of a Morgan car, I remember it well.

Yes you’re right. Standard is no windscreen. The options are clear Perspex, yellow tinted Perspex or a full windscreen that sits higher and stretches across the car in one piece and not split into 2 sections.
I’ve selected the larger one which turns out, is dealership aftermarket. Guessing it can’t be from Morgan themselves due to regulations. Same as the sports exhaust which also isn’t available yet.

Why don’t you buy a matching scarf from liberty and a decent pair of equally expensive sunglasses? That can be used to keep hair in place and the sunglasses to protect her eyes.

Better looking than the full screen….. 😆

Heres my specced car with the "low" perspex fly screens and "tall" fly screen. I actually don't mind the tall one. Looking at the configurator pictures, it looks like they both fit using the rail locks. So hopefully I'll be able to add the low ones to my order, cancel the the tall one (as its not ready anyway). And then order the tall screen at a later date and have both options available to me.

If anyone is wondering, the colour of my car is meant to be Willow Green. The colour isn't available on the configurator, I made that colour myself using the colour selector on the right hand side of the screen. It's not 100% what Willow Green looks like, but it's as close as I could make it.

Nice colour combination - I mocked up the same configuration but with silver cowl and black wheels - but only to match my M3W... smile

PS: given Morgan's track record on accessory availability, I would be tempted to keep the order for the tall screen "on the book" to give them some kind of commitment to deliver. I would not be surprised if the final version of the screen looks a bit different. Future versions might also be interesting - e.g. adding screen framing, or the option of a fold down Brooklands screen...)

Looks great with the small screens. Nice colour, is it an Aston colour?

I presume based on your user name you also have a 02? What colour is that?

Looks good with either type of screen I think. Nice paint colour too!
