Frm the sound, I doubt it to be exhaust related, as it more of a lightweight tinny noise. Although I did just check my suspension to make sure I had no cracks like Richard did.

Other than brake reaction says, remote greasing and torsion beatings my suspension set up is original so can probably rule out your suggestion tig. I think the front runner at the moment is the aerial. Will report back when next out for a spin.

Check the rear damper mountings on the backplates.

I am just a newbie to Morgan (96 Plus 8) but I have noticed a small rattle/tinkle from the removable (sprung) bar on the luggage rack at the back. Probably a loooong shot.
Good Luck and Happy Miles. Bryan.

Yeah.... mine does that.

I've thought about wrapping some aluminium tape around it - but not got round to it.

Or maybe some amalgamating tape as its rubberised and not as sticky as the aluminium tape.

Just use enough turns of ordinary insulating tape on the male part to give a tight fit...sorted !

Rubber O ring between rack & clip does me.
A hozelock repair kit in my tool box was perfect fit!

When I rattled the removable bar on the luggage rack, the sound was similar so I'll remove it on my next drive to see if that is causing the noise. If so I'll hunt out an o ring as that will as suggested cure the rattle.

Mysterious rattles and twinkles are notoriously difficult to track. I had a tinkling that had me tricked for a while. It turned out to be the locking ring at the bottom of the gear shift knob.

The ring covers the grub screws in the centre mounting tube. The knob screws on the tube and then the ring screws up from underneath after the grub screws have been tightened. By its very nature it can only ever be hand tight so it is quite easy for it to work loose and start to tinkle.

Well, it's not the aerial, or the removable luggage bar. I do have a slightly loose rear overider bracket which the luggage rack attaches to. I'll tighten that up and see how that affects things, and report back.
