Sorry Bernt, I missed the thread. One hundred lines. “I must pay better attention….” I will consider myself reprimanded

Not sure what Doug is referring to but this is picture of mine which look very similar to your new ones Rog. ![[Linked Image]](https://i.imgur.com/hgZEBUN.jpg) It's the outer lip that has split at the bottom. Richard, I noticed when new my seals were applying a lot of twist to the lip as the sidescreen frame closed & opened over it, I put a steel ruler against it and carefully trimmed a tiny sliver off with a scalpel, which solved mine, plus I lube them occasionally with a bit of clear Autoglym tyre dressing on the 'fin'

I hadn’t really thought about sealing here before. I don’t know how effective the harder material will be compared to the squishy foam but the roof appears to sit on it nicely, so far....

Pulling the old seals off leaves a strip of the self adhesive material firmly stuck to each inner edge of windscreen pillar. This is extremely difficult to remove until I discovered this method:
Soften remaining material with brake cleaner then start peeling from edge with finger nail. Once started continue with downward thumb pressure. The material should peel off cleanly rolling into a ball which can be picked off when large enough. Clean any residue with paper towel soaked in brake cleaner. This leaves clean surface ready to accept new seals.

And a pic of the front rail sat on the rubber pad with the roof locked down. If nothing else it should help protect the paint... ![[Linked Image]](https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/s/gwfr3pkagul956q/topseal2.jpg)

Damn you Rog, another thing I now have to buy for Monty Seriously though, thanks for sharing, these seals look like a 'must have' Only last week I added a run of self adhesive neoprene up the inner leading edge of both side screens to create a neoprene on neoprene seal, this eliminated the rattles and created a better seal reducing wind noise, but these lip seals look like a way better solution so I've just bpoght a pair. Let's hope the supplier is more effective with my seal order than they were getting a pair of spot light mounts to me, despite confirming at the start of the process the brackets were in stock, over three weeks and four telephone calls later I was forced to ask for a refund and buy an alternative set from Librands Fingers crossed the seals will be with me for Saturday as I'm prepping Monty for a run to Goodwood on the Sunday.
