You should definitely buy it, if I had more space and a less observant wife, I would love to add a Weismann and also a BMW Z8 to my garage.
At £140k it is a bargain compared with other Weismanns for sale.

Just googled the Weismann and to me it looks like an illegitimate cross between a Morgan Aero and a TVR.
Cheers, Paul

Hi All, Now dont shoot me as Im not a Morgan deserter but I an seriously thinking of buying a RHD Wiesmann GT5 as the s1 has been sold - its got a BMW V10 in it. I know the back up in the uk is non existant but it looks so bloody good! Also at £140k its a bargain compared to the Aeromax.!Should I go and knock back a few pillsinstead? T You only live once

Great spec to the car, very striking with BMW underpinnings, what's not to like about it.

Don't regret not buying a bit of V10 rolling thunder history at a good price.. 507bhp It's everything and more that sadly the new model of TVR will never be realised.

That's a pretty fair itch to scratch. Don't look at the price (he said kicking himself) but look at what you think you would make/lose if you sold it in a rush. That plus the running costs are the real price.

Hi Alastair I think all of the running gear is BMW so should be available if a failure, I expect its the old issue of anything made in house - very similar to Morgan. I did check insurance and it was a surprise of £1400 pa with Adrian Flux - seems low ? The car was manufactured in 2009 and destined for Singapore as a demo but the factory went down the pan and finally sold into the uk in 2015. There is another person looking at it next week and if he doesnt go for it then I will have a look - so its all about fait !! T

Agreed Taffy, I was thinking more along the lines of who does the work, knows the parts (BMW has a BIG parts bin so you need to know which is which) and how far you need to move the car if it does break down. The lack of Morgan dealers near me is making servicing and repairs a bit of an ache.
£1400 is a fair bit more than an Aero but I guess they are reflecting the cost of repairs due to lack of body parts?

You are right Alastair - the company selling it have sold two others in the UK and can carry out normal servicing etc . I am sending the Aero back to the factory as no agents as well in Oxon area. The body panels will be the issue - they are all aluminum I believe so nealy as bad as the Aero. Just for interest, do the factory have any spare panels especially wings for the Aero's in stock? T

Love the Weismann...you should view before the other person so you can make an informed decision without the decision being taken away from you (I did exactly that today...now have 2 x S1 Aero's girlfriend not going to be happy when she gets home but we only live once.
