Be careful with those orange polyfex bobbins, they are OK at the back but questionable at the front near the cat. because the heat can soften / melt them.

On my car the cat is at the back .... chewing might be a problem but it never gets hot enought to melt things! 🙂 ![[Linked Image]](https://www.tm-img.com/images/2022/11/15/20221101_121453.jpg) K

I just replaced the U-clamps on my Plus8. 4 of them front and rear of the main silencer. I took the chassis brackets off to clean up and check the bobbins. One bobbin needed replacing. Luckily the bobbin nuts came off ok as if well rusted the force used can split the rubber from them. The U-clamps were basic mild steel so I smeared some copper grease over them for extra protection. Small brush to keep the grease under control! One tip for refitting. Loosely fit all nuts to create wiggle room to make it easier to get the assembly together. The captive chassis bolts in particular. Tighten up after loose fit is done.
