Hi, after we purchased our 1973 +8 RHD I changed the differential oil (and all other liquids). I'm using Mobil and Motul oils for our other cars, but after pouring Motul 90 PA Limited slip mineral oil into the differential, I've noticed a clicking sound when driving - both moving straight ahead and when cornering. Question is now if I'm using the wrong oil for the Salisbury differential? I've heard that Redline 75W/90 LSD synthetic is the oil to chose, but what is up and down in this? It's important not to break the differential as I understand spare parts are almost unobtainable nowadays. Cheers /Finn

It cured the clicking I got when manouvering on full lock as it contains a friction modifier. Beware there is a similar packaged Redline product with an NS (no slip) suffix which doesn't have the modifier!

You can also buy a small bottle of friction modifier to fine tune the existing oil.

To that end Redline offer the friction modifier alone as on link below. ![[Linked Image]](https://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/bx4AAOSwG9Zbl~Tz/s-l300.jpg)

Thanks All, I just bought a bottle of Red Line LSD friction modifier. I'll change the rear axle oil and add a bit of this stuff when preparing the Mog for the Spring 23. Let's see (hear) if it works. Cheers /Finn
