Bob...back in the good old days (I wonder if cars came out of the factory then with faults.) the style of driving was with the wheel in your chest and arms bent to give leverage to unassisted steering! It took me a while to get use to the idea and now I find it very comfortable. My seat is set so my left leg is almost straight with the clutch pedal fully depressed. The head "rests" are really head restraints... You'd have to sit at a very strange angle to rest your head against them!
My 4/4 generally runs at just over 3 bar when hot but I don't put a lot of faith in the pressure gauge or the temperature gauge. The needle on the latter barely moves from the bottom of the scale. The fuel gauge on mine is however pretty accurate.
It is a shame that your first experience of Morgan should be sullied by the faults you've had....all the cars are test driven by the factory and such faults should be picked up but your dealer really should hang his his head in shame! At least they are now sorted and you can enjoy the car!!
As Ivanford has said, these are expensive cars...his certainly is...and they should not be leaving the factory with faults. I just hope his M3W is fully sorted by the time it's delivered......it's got a way to go yet by the sound of the problems some of the dealer cars are having.

After 8 weeks my only fault in the 4/4 is a misty dial. Pink

I collected my new 2011 4/4 in September. I was stunned and very disappointed at the quality of presentation and finish when I finally got the car home. Poorly fitted accessories, steering wheel off centre and noisy when you turn it and a steering alignment required not to mention the body lean due to faulty rear springs. All these items have or are in the process of being fixed but at close to A$90,000 all up they can have it back.....!

All these items have or are in the process of being fixed but at close to A$90,000 all up they can have it back.....! Really sorry to hear of your disappointment. I took delivery of my 4/4 sport at the and of April this year. Since then I've done 7500km made up of 3 long trips plus almost daily use until the end of October. The only faults I've had have been 1) couldn't see anything out of the passenger side mirror except when the arm was in the upright position - sorted by 5 minutes with my vice & a pry bar. 2) fairly substantial leaks between the windscreen header rail and the hood while returning from the alps in a torrential downpour, plus hood all saggy by the time we got home. The solutions to the leak abound on this site, though I've not done anything about it yet, and the baggy hood regained it's shape after a couple of days. 3) Misty dial misery once the autumn set in & the air became more humid. 4) the shot cord of the cargo net in the glovebox has become detached at one end & appears to be a dashboard out job to fix - Morgan France can do it on the next service 5) the morgan badge on the back became loose, so I removed the storage bin & retightened it with some loctite. I have been delighted with my purchase; Morgan France delivered my car impeccably presented and include 4 years of servicing and warranty within the price, so I feel relaxed about them putting right any other faults that arise over the next 3 years. It sounds to me as though your dealer should shoulder the blame for at least some of the faults, which should have been identified and remedied before delivery.

Re the "leather dash" issue raised above - the factory price list has an extra charge for a painted dash, or an option of a walnut dash - from that I assumed that a leather dash (or vinyl if trimmed in vinyl) is standard, rather than an option.
Would be interested to know - for future reference!

An interesting issue...the dash! I've assumed that the cheapest option would be the painted dash as all it is is painted MDF and comes as standard on the Sport range. All the non Sport cars I've seen being built at the factory have walnut or such like dashes and I've searched in vain for any leather covered ones.

Would be interested to know - for future reference! It seems to be one of those items that you can order, but is not in the price list. I have ordered a leather covered cowling for the steering column. It is not in the price list but can be ordered for a few extra £.

nputtick, As you can see I posted a picture of my leather dash. It was a nil cost option with the leather interior. The painted one would have a price tag. Note the dash is in leather not vinyl, but i would assume that if your interior was standard vinyl it would be vinyl. Bespoke 4/4 Bob:)
