Yes something of a rats nest although mine not much better. I can see a couple of double female bullet connectors on your picture as I would expect and maybe a glimpse of a blue wire. The black underseal masks severely though.

Dave please see below the schematic in the area we are discussing for your era of car. ![[Linked Image]](https://i.imgur.com/xG6WZOK.jpg) Whilst there are schematic variants shown between 2006 and 2014 they are all similar in this area. You can clearly see a series of wires terminating in bullets on the offside. UY105 and UY106 are the two (blue/yellow) wires you are looking for with the latter when joined with the other, providing a loop across to nearside. Rog's picture shows at least two female double bullets with wires going into same end, one of which will be what you are looking for. You will need to scrape off underseal to see colours though. Note you can also see the bomb tails each side for single shared ground connection benefitting eight other circuits on o/s and seven on n/s.

Definitely not giving up chaps, that's not in my nature, but I do wonder if we're allowing ourselves to pin too much blind faith in a wiring diagram that may or may not be 100% accurate? I'm also a realist and reminded that no one has actually been able to physically confirm the presence of the fabled blue/yellow wires on their own car yet, let alone supported their discovery with photographic evidence. I thought my video would help show others who perhaps haven't themselves completed the same level of hands-on forensic examination what's really in there, for the record, before shooting the video I had already cut various cable ties and pulled the loom out for closer inspection, it's actually very easy to do so. For example the bullet connection for O/S headlight wiring just fell out of the nasty Lucar connectors when I touched them, just like they always did on old Triumphs, MGs and Jaguars I used to restore fit a living. I also had a big lamp in there to illuminate the whole wheel arch area, then used my smaller LED inspection lamp to really get light into every corner and remove localised shadows in the specific area I was inspecting, I then used industrial hand wipes to clean off the underseal/Waxoyl to reveal the colour of all wires. Trust me when I say, "short of conducting a full autopsy on the convoluted plastic sleeving covering the main loom run, there's definitely no blue/yellow wires terminating in male bullet connectors living in that area". I also think it's important to point out what's shown on a wiring diagram can be different to what's actually present on a specific car, lets not lose sight of the fact these are hand made small volume production cars and of course there will have been RHD & LHD versions of the loom, this aside in my experience general loom variation is extremely common with such low volume artisan built vehicles. Even on high volume production vehicles it's not uncommon to find looms manufactured from one year to the next to exhibit a degree variation, the main dealer may have received a service bulletin to cover such changes but did Morgan offer their dealers these updates, and even if they did I doubt they will have filtered down to a group of enthusiastic owners some 10 years post production. After the considerable time already invested and after I've completed my further final hunt as described above, in the absence of any photographic evidence from others it'll be at this point I'll be pausing for thought and remind myself of what I'm actually trying to achieve here. While undoubtedly it would be lovely to use some wires that may or may not be included in the factory loom, being frank, safely wiring up a set of auxiliary lights is hardly beyond the wit of man. It's something I've done many times over the years on a myriad of different vehicles, I've built my own looms which isn't difficult but I've typically found when you add up the cost of cable, tape, block connectors, a relay, a relay holder, crimp connectors, a fuse holder with fuse, heat shrink etc it's almost always cheaper to buy a pre-made loom. However, I will definitely continue the hunt, for example I want to complete one final close inspection under the bonnet on both sides and return to that spare unused connector block I found on the N/S wheel arch to determine its purpose. ![[Linked Image]](https://i.ibb.co/g6cSm4T/20221113-161806.jpg) We also now know this is a crimp termination of multiple grounds and it's not very nicely executed, on the O/S I returned the wire that fell out in my hand then heated the crimp with my jewelers torch and wicked solder into to it before resealing the end with new heat shrink, I shall do the same on the N/S. ![[Linked Image]](https://i.ibb.co/r6GBSnC/20221113-144850.jpg) The standard of wiring on British cars is the butt of many a joke amongst mechanics around the world, sadly and given the evidence this is a very hard one to defend. The wiring on my TVR for example was without doubt the worst I've ever seen, but it does seem Morgan was trying to run them a close second

These are grounds. ![[Linked Image]](https://i.ibb.co/s95TRKy/double-bullet-Rog.jpg) I tested them. However, they might be grounds laid there specifically to earth an auxiliary front lights loom. I must admit the only thing I didn't do as part of my autopsy was go full proctologist on the convoluted plastic loom sheathing, it's quite possible the two blue/yellow wires with male bullets have been turned back on themselves and are pushed back up inside that lower intestine  I'll get the latex gloves on and go in deeper this time  Thanks for taking the photo Rog

I take your point Dave but in this particular area not only do three iterations of wiring schematics as published by MMC over an eight year period concur but earlier and later ones do as well. Since around 2007 on there is only one loom variant to cover both left and right hand drive cars and to this end the brake fluid sensor and screen wash wiring is duplicated for each side. Furthermore as mentioned you have found one end of this elusive blue/yellow wire colour coded specifically for front auxiliary lights. Where do you think this terminates and why would it be anywhere other than front of car with all the others as shown on the schematics? The unused connector was a mystery until you pointed out it's under the n/s wing. It's almost certainly for optional Aircon and as can be seen is shown on close up schematic I posted labelled trinary switches. I have similar on my car. So finally, everything you have found so far under wing concurs with wiring schematic.

So to finish up today's efforts I connected a two terminal switch to the under dash wiring I found last week, ('m still waiting for my Durite illuminated toggle switches), then turned on the headlights…. and finally hit the switch. SUCCESS!!!!!  ![[Linked Image]](https://i.ibb.co/m8VQsvM/Let-There-Be-Light.jpg) Many thanks to Richard and Rog for your continued support and patience  For the record, the auxiliary lights can only be switched on after you've turned the headlights on, but the circuit remains live no matter if you're in dip or full beam.

Only accademic but if you wired your new switch to the blue/yellow and red/orange wires you found under the dash the fogs should come on with side or any headlight selected.
Not clear to me from your description but having eventually found the expected two blue/yellow wires, note they need to be joined together if not already. The reason is only one routes back to the dash, the other being free standing and purely provided to route the single feed to other, n/s of car. You will have to search for far end of it under that wing. A double female bullet connector works well to join wires together if some PO has removed it to add the extension. You should end up with three wires going into it on o/s.
BTW checked under my car this evening and found the unused double female bullet on o/s feeding through to a single n/s. Not easy to check colours in-situ but 99% certain they would be blue/yellow.
