With the lovely sun out yesterday, my son and I finally took the Green Goddess for a 21mile warm up run along the coast road to Gosport and back..

Barring the 4-mile run to the MOT station and back this is the first outing since our Classic London to Brighton back in May. I need a trip up to Richard Thorne for the old 3-year Insurance Valuation but can't face it yet.

Whatever that Virus was I caught last November it has messed up the whole year so far with suspect heart and constant fatigue. Can't wait for the spring and some new enthusiasm.

The GEG met up at the Two Magpies Cafe on the A12 for a coffee then onto southwold for fish & chips and for some ice cream, though mindful of my honed beer gut I declined.
A great day out on the shortest day of the year & fun all round.

Yes great day out though the weather didn't conform to forecast and Chris and I had biblical rain for a short while halfway home, despite the sunshine making a brief mid winter appearance at the start. Roll on summer



Have to say a new sidescreen rubber moulding and some additional neoprene left the cockpit completely water tight. Took a while to realise but searched and couldn't find any of the usual damp patches. Should I report this to MMC as a missing feature

A thoroughly enjoyable jolly to the seaside. Not quite deckchair and knotted hanky weather - but who cares.

On display in the sun we presented a good mix of 4, 6 and 8 cyl Mogs. A pair of Plus 4s (a CX and a classic), a pair of 3.7 Roadsters and a Plus 8.

And my wipers held together!

After 2 days of rain, the road salt is washed away. 10°c and dry, the ideal moment to let out MattMog.
60 great Km along quiet but muddy back roads.
Back home, MattMog looked like this; some work to be done.



A good hour later he looked like this again.



This evidence has already disappeared due to the rain, perfect timing.



What a perfect Morgan day.

Hadn't driven the +8 for a couple of months as I have been away. Ideal this morning. Weak sunshine, but a chilly breeze for a 20 mile roof down blast around southern Cambridgeshire. That takes me over 5000 miles for the calendar year.

I have played many a rugby match up behind where your mogs were parked!

Temperature got to around 50°F here today, so I took Little Red out for a drive on the highway and she loves the cooler air. Maybe one or two more outings over the next week or so before the salt flies on the roads and she's put away for a few months...
