Would Al Buncome be a son (or even grandson) of Jonathan Buncome from Highbridge, Somerset, who used to drive in the televised Saturday Rallycross races?
I used to avidly watch these races on the BBC, mainly from Liden Hill circuit in Kent, back in the '60's, followed by Kent Walton commentating on wrestling on ITV. Those were the days when something else apart from football, used to be shown on Saturday afternoons.
Can I see one of the famous thread drifts coming??

That was a good way to start the New Year, Richard! Thanks for posting.
It led me on to rewatching Chris Harris delivering the original Aero based Plus 8 to the Geneva Motor Show. A damp trip!

I do like Chris Harris` style of reporting up to a point, though I would imagine he had the brains and the experience to know what to expect of a Morgan in such weather conditions. I saw the top rail of the sidescreen visible in some of the vid which would seem to indicate he may not have taken the time after shutting the door to ensure the hood flap was extended over the top of the sidescreen top rail, and in so doing was bound to provide a source of water ingress..?
My Mogs hood was drip free in the early years, though last time I used it in heavy weather the interior did become damp, than I remembered from times past, I suspect the stitching might need a degree of waterproof treatment. By comparison my good lady had an SLK a few years back which had a tricky electric hard top which folded it`s self up neatly into the boot at the push of a button... That car would regularly mist up it`s interior even after Mercedes tec`s best attempts to make it waterproof...
I have to admit I bought my Morgan to be enjoyed as an open top sports car, not as a daily driver in all conditions, but I have driven it hood up in the rain when touring in the Summer months. Hmm..?
