No of course not grin2 especially if it had been subjected to a heavy collision as the OP car has previously....

The lightweight Plus 8's were made from 1975-77 and the weight difference was Standard 1,950Lbs and Lightweight 1,835Lbs with 195 - 14 wheels and tyres . So a crash diet difference only..

On eMog quite some years back one of the OZ forum members fancied a +8 that was for sale in a dealership in London, and one of the London based eMoggers went along to inspect it, the end result was that the purchase was made, thus it does seem to be reasonable to buy without seeing it in the metal.. ?

There will ever be a degree of gamble involved, less so these days perhaps given all the tec that can make taking pics, video and chatting live a relatively simple process..?

There are Lightweights that are Lightweights and alloy bodied Morgans that may not be "real" lightweights and perhaps not worth as much... Buyer Beware..?

I could almost write that about my S2. It has had a couple of runs since lockdown but has been SORN for quite a bit. It gets a run on the drive to heat through but that's about it at the moment.8(

Everyone loves a Morgan. Even me, unless it's broken again.
