George, it would be most interesting to know the true numbers, below is from my copy of F& L by Gregory Houston Bowden c 1971 and it will be seen that Germany per capita far outweighed the over the pond folk. Every little helps

Agreed that the engineering would have been more reliable but for us that have the steering on the right side of the car the drivers seat would start off narrow and taper down to even less. Some serious bum cheek trimming exercises required! The angled drive shaft takes up a lot of righthand seat.

Yes, here in America we have a right to be outraged by everything! Or at least that is what I have come to understand by watching the news.

I know we don't get very many posts on 2 or 3 speed Three Wheelers, but it does seem like we get pleanty of posts on the 5 Speed M3W, and the Super 3 garners a lot of attention and posts as well. It might be good to split the two forums, although I guess we can see if traffic on both will support their own forum groups.

To stay on topic; I don’t think there is enough traffic here to necessitate different threads for the vintage (2&3 speed), retro (5 speed), and modern (Super 3). There is also room for all the other 3-wheeled stuff that is occasionally posted here too. After all, there are posts on the front page that are nearly a month old.

To stray off topic again;

the ACE (American Cyclecar Endeavor) engineering was much more than the driveline. The ACE’s two top tubes of the engine frame box are structurally tied together up front with more robust frame tubes for rigidity/durability. The center engine mass was behind the front axle line. The engine coupling design and the steering/suspension geometry were also ignored by the young M3W’s designer. Yes, the driveline would have to be reworked for RHD and it was quite disappointing, for the M3W and even for the new Super 3, that MMC did not engineer a single sided, shaft driven, rear swingarm with a disc brake, that receives the driveshaft on centerline. Instead, it’s a bevel box, belt, and sprocket that robs power, howls, and makes changing a tire a considerable project, and a drum brake.

Back on topic; There will be some don’t want to see this topic or that comment, and would prefer a single topic echo chamber, and others that find interest in the variety of content. There will be some that are MMC disciples and think things breaking is ‘part of the experience’, some that accepted the flaws and are also willing to call them out, some that are positive or negative from their own experience, and some that are just trolls. You can’t make everyone happy all at the same time…

Hello, I'm an active F Super owner, but tend to post more on the 4 wheeler part of TM

Apparently Tony Divey's well sorted Guzzi based Triking was of interest to MMC well before the Liberty Ace. Following an invite he trailered it to Malvern from Norfolk. There must have been some crossed wires though because Charles Morgan at the helm at that time, showed no great interest and as I understand, Tony's car wasn't even taken off the trailer.

That was a bit rude...I don't think Peter would have done that he was a gentleman.

I'll have to check out the 4 wheeler forum more. Thanks for the note.
