This part holding the cable

The cable is slipping and it looks as if the screw thread is damaged and not holding the cable in place.

Could somebody be kind enough to let me know what the part is called - some kind of clip ? Any suggestions on replacement parts or alternatives would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Rob

I'd call it a choke cable clamp.

Four options....

1. If it's just the screw that's damaged, then work out the thread size and replace. Clamp Screw
2. Fit a smaller diameter bolt and nyloc
3. Drill and tap bracket for a slightly larger bolt.
4. Fit a whole new bracket Anchor Bracket

Similar to TBM above, I'd drill out and put a bolt & locknut in it's place

Replacement saddle clips are available if it's gone soft, eg... https://www.carbuilder.com/uk/316-stainless-saddle-clamps-pack-of-12

You can find cable clamps at your local auto parts store

Thank you , as always a combination of wonderful answers and lack of condescension for a question I should have figured out for myself.
