I washed my little Super 3 for the first time yesterday. The first wash is always the best, really looking at and understanding the shape of the car etc. It's amazing where the dirt collects, specifically on the body under the rear number plate and in a few other little gaps under where your elbow / arm hangs outside of the car when driving. I'm still loving the sports exhaust - I think it's worth every penny.

At Caffeine and Machine earlier today. I was super snug tucked up with the seat warmer on, on the hot setting, it keeps you very warm:

Good idea, it’s not far up the road so I’ll plan to go again before main opening - when the sun is out that is.

Caffeine and Machine is a great spot. I stayed overnight a few months ago and really enjoyed it.
Your Super 3's spec looks better every time I see it!

Theres a couple of things about my Super 3 that should have been highlighted on the factory and dealership shakedown tests.

The most obvious thing is the outside temp gauge isn't working at all, just comes up blank. Not a big deal, but should have been spotted. And it would have been nice to know just how cold it was last week, when I was driving it home in the middle of the night.

The squealing from the belt is worrying as it isn't noticeable on any youtube videos of other cars I've seen. It's not the bevel box whine that I knew was there, it's something far louder and only under acceleration. Someone mentioned this might go away once things get bedded in?

Theres another annoying loud noise coming from the front. Like an electrical high pitched tone. Perhaps coming from the dash board. It usually stops when the car comes to a stop but sometimes it will remain there until the engine is turned off. It doesn't change pitch, just a constant drone and gets on your nerves after a while.

Also the steering while isn't straight, its a bit off centre and its driving my OCD crazy! LOL.

Other than that, this thing is awesome. On Christmas day the whole family took it turns coming out with me for a spin, I was out driving it for over an hour, everyone loved it. I have an eight and a five year old who think it's the coolest thing in the world. And even the missus likes it!

I'm hoping to take it to a couple of Cars and Coffee events in the next week or so, as long as its not raining. I can't wait to see peoples reactions to it.

Thanks both. Chris2002tii, I also hope you get to enjoy your Super 3 over the coming week assuming the rain stays away.

A squealing belt noise from the rear end likely means the belt is not properly aligned and shifts a bit sideways under acceleration causing it to rub on something. If that is the case the evidence should be visible upon careful inspection.

Toothed drive belts do not "bed in". Something is amiss.

Hey, thanks. Yeah I kind of expected this. It was doing it from the second I left the dealership so I’m guessing it did it for them as well, so they must of just ignored it.

I’ll ring them after the holidays to see what they say, unfortunately I’m in Northern Ireland so I can’t just leave it in with them to sort out for me.

Hi Chris - I like the picture with your kids, you can really see how much they are enjoying themselves. I look forward to my first drive with my 9 year old daughter, too drive. I hope the small technical issues can be resolved for you as soon as possible. Happy driving!
