Mine is in the garage and has a winter switch on it, leaves the internal light on dimly to encourage the fridge to keep working. No probs so far.

Obvious I know BUT if you are using the car (as I am) when its bright but very cold, check your tyre pressures.

This is very important. Extreme cold can drop pressures into the mid teens.

If I'm not using the car for a few months over the worst salty part of winter, I bang the pressures up to 40psi as it helps stop flatspots and sidewall distortion

As an aside from my earlier post.

I was promted by my low Tyre pressure warning on my Merc GLE. Checked all car tyres as follows
Merc GLE all down 5-6 lbs
Merc SL down 4-5 lbs
Morgan Plus 4 down 5 lbs.

Yep, same here. In the cold snap before Xmas my mini told me to check the tyres, they were all down by 5 psi.

Tarka is in the garage with the hood up and the side screen panels open. I'm fortunate that condensation isn't a problem as the garage was built so that an owner could convert it to rooms, if wished, so the walls are either shared with the house or insulated cavity walls, The window is double glazed and the roller shutter is also insulated. It has never dropped below 5c and is normally at 10 to 12c in winter.
