I see a lathe in the background in what looks like a real workshop, I am going to have to get serious and find one to complete my set up.

What's the project, Pauly? Are you adding ponies, or did something let go? Your car ran well this summer.

Colin, the lathe was my father-in-law's. When he passed away I just had to keep it in the family. It works, but I have to learn how to use it. And I will.

Geoff, it's the winter project list. T-9 5 speed, and few odds and ends on the engine while it's out. HP will wait for another time. Also replacing the leaf springs and upgrading the rear suspension to the Rutherford kit. I'll be doing some cosmetic work in the cockpit too.

Pauly, my header is in North Carolina getting a facelift. It should be on its way back here sometime around 11 Jan. The Webers are back together and I have the new intake manifolds, so I'm in the middle of sorting out that mess. I'm also replacing the hodgepodge of fuel lines in the car, from tank to carbs. Once the header goes back on, I'm having the stock muffler and tailpipe removed in favor of a cherry bomb and a 2" side exit. Even though the collector outlet is 2", the stock tailpipe is only 1-½", so my poor car has been trying to exhale through a soda straw.

Also, so as to not completely hijack this thread, here is a photo of my garage on the day the car arrived from Virginia:

Just impressed by those neat and tidy garages guys,,, thumbs

I had to demolish my brick built garage to make way for an extension to the extension (don`t ask) of our home. On the up side that allowed me to build a garage of the type I had always wanted, larger and with double skinned blockwork, insulated doors and with head height attic space... The replacement garage being the first thing built in the next stage of building improvements, became the obvious dry (ish) storage area for all sorts of building materials, off cuts and debris of all sorts... At least in this pic the Mog is visible, just a few weeks earlier it was buried under multiple sheets of insulation....

It was a real mess before - four different flat roofs, all leaking and one rotting and about to collapse, and none of the four sections of the building lining up with each other - quite a challenge for the roofers!!

Cracking job on re-roofing and expanding the garage spacesKennethM.. thumbs

Flat roofs are a source of frustration in areas that are as rained upon as my part of the UK, thus it is a real luxury to have a pitched roof on a garage. These days my ideal auto house would be one where I can sit in the heat of the house and comfort of my armchair and look through a window to see my toy(s) housed in their own sheltered environment. I guess I was close to that when in my yoof, It was not unusual to find a m/cycle in bits under the bed, and another in-build in my bedroom... and we lived one floor up in a council tenement.. I was fortunate to have had a houseproud yet very understanding Mum.. love

Lucky for me, I have a little more room available today.
