I did pull the core plugs and while they looked perfect on the outside, they were a mess on the inside. And I did flush the block and got out some nice clag

Started removing the leaf springs tonight. To say the least, this is interesting. All of the directions I found online were only a little help. The best advice I saw was something along the lines of just start!

Mocked up the tailpipe today for the Plus 4 today out of a pair of 75 degree bends and a length of 1 3/4 ERW tubing.

Not the final version though as I'm taking the mocked up pipe to a pipe bender to have one bent up in 304 grade stainless.

Didn't manage to machine the three wheeler gearbox today...its sitting there all set up on the bed of the milling machine

Will be interesting to hear what you modify in the MTW 'box, mine acts like a total loss lube system

Basically a blind end bush in the constant mesh pinion and rubber O rings and shouldered spacers in the gearbox lug acting on the selector rods.

Also improving the oil supply to the trunnion bearings by machining out the trunnion plates

Maybe a trick of the light, but the wear pattern on the brake rotors looks uneven; shinier on the inside than outside. Everything looks very clean but are the pads free to move easily on their retaining pins?

Had an intermittent fault on my rear reverse/fog lights (I have LED combined red/white bulbs in a stop/tail light fitting). Stripped down the light and a combination of poor manufacturing tolerances on the new light fitting and softer aluminium body on the bulb means that it keeps wagglng loose.

Am going to solder leads to the bottom of the bulbs and then wedge them in the fittings.....

I had to do that trick on my Land Rover. It lasted months and months before I bothered to replace the fitting.

Good call on fitting BRB's as many others have said. I note your upper shock mount bracket has the bend facing upwards though unless a second opposite bend has been added.

You can see above the shock fits and works at an angle to kingpin, so the bend is to accomodate as per my recently fitted bracket below with bend downwards.

Yes, I noticed that also but the car stops just fine. I will, however, be replacing the pads and relining the rear shoes with a performance compound over the winter, so it will be all apart and I'll clean and lubricate the pins when I reassemble the brakes.
