Greetings to all m3w owners and I wish you all the best in the new year I also have an m3w because I want it and I look forward to every ride. And so I am willing to accept construction errors as well. In addition to details such as a broken regulator, exhaust mounting, steering problems, damaged cable, noisy bevel box, changing coupling....there was also an important thing, a broken frame in a known place... https://drive.google.com/file/d/1k6foTffwYkLd7qvHF4Nn1sHOZhm3AuRt/view?usp=share_linkI consider this to be an intolerable mistake, especially when it is after about 20 thousand km. Imagine if it happened to a renowned car company :-(. ...when they in MMC buy programs and learn to work with a PC, it will definitely be better :-) So I welded the frame and decided to strengthen it, it was obvious that it was due to vibration and fatigue of the frame. After opening the front part of the frame, I saw that the thickness of the walls is only 1.5 mm :-( So I pushed the steel pipes into all four ends of the frame, approx. 60-80 cm, and fixed them. Additionally, I inserted a rib between the lower and upper parts of the frame. This made the frame very stiff. Be careful, the engine, transmission and axles hang on that thin frame, and when going over bumps, the several 100 kg that are suspended multiply and deform the frame until it breaks due to fatigue. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1VQC6KdacYh9YuBjv_SSKv4YTYGDf2A2O/view?usp=share_linkhttps://drive.google.com/file/d/1a6IUE83h6K3uFeI490hdduyF-74agCyS/view?usp=share_linkhttps://drive.google.com/file/d/1yNIqEZM6m7rue3jVfO4ejOQpg777wnem/view?usp=share_linkAfter this modification, the stiffness was reflected in the driving characteristics, the m3w is great, the ride is exact, the steering is great. The problem arose with the vibrations that were always there, but now they have multiplied... but this means that the frame also worked as silent blocks, springing and bending... and finally it broke. Everyone knows the vibrations that are on the steering wheel at about 1700 revolutions...so the advice came to replace the engine suspension, I chose the largest available silent blocks, the softest ones on offer. I prepared four to be sure, but only the front two are needed. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1EjUkxR0D2Re0969R_77BbaEKWec2YVDA/view?usp=share_linkhttps://drive.google.com/file/d/1Ee51c4QILIMHsJJV_GnxpPYXYBQd3JVQ/view?usp=share_linkhttps://drive.google.com/file/d/1EcdAmuSjXvPC1cJRHwqe0XL3FOiXKK4k/view?usp=share_linkthe effect is fantastic, the m3w is a completely different car, only the pleasant vibrations remained, the stiffness is high, a lot of unwanted sounds disappeared. I'm writing all this because I want to give advice on how to secure the frame against further breakage and at the same time increase the value of m3w. Btw, I also have a recipe for a noisy bevel box, that you practically can't hear it, that you suddenly hear the gearbox :-) So I wish you from Bratislava health in the new year and lot of beautiful trips with m3w without unnecessary fails Andrej

Nice job on the welds and the mounts. Did you leave the rear trans mounts the oem?
How did you affix the headlamps?
The light at the end of the tunnel is actually a train. 2019 M3W

Great work by the OP - thanks for sharing
I predict we will see/hear increasing numbers of ideas on how to reinforce/repair the M3W chassis as our cars accumulate miles/age.
Are replacment chassis even still available from the factory as one assumes the contractor who made them has moved on to other activity now production has ceased

Thank you for the recognition. I think that breaking the frame is a matter of all m3w. The whole construction with the heavy engine and gearbox and the very thin frame is a mistake. In my opinion, each one will break in the same places. I did prepare the rear mounts, but after mounting the vibration of the engine, the damping was insufficient. There are only two front ones. but that's OK, they are silent blocks that hold the engine of a regular car like two pieces... Headlamps are mounted in the same way as before, they just have new consoles. They are wider and lower and the direction indicator is further from the exhaust... Greetings

Well done....

It should be a motivation to repair the frame. It is certain that every frame will break, first in a known place, then elsewhere...
