If anyone wants a good example of the standard of paint on the front of the Super 3 it’s this. Today I touched up some stone chips and rust before I coat it in ACF-50. The paint came off with the masking tape! I can literally scrape the paint off with my finger nail. I’m starting to think something is a miss with my car in particular, they can’t all be like this. ![[Linked Image]](http://tm-img.com/images/2023/01/10/172E4724-4646-4860-B6CC-2DAE701DF739.jpeg) ![[Linked Image]](http://tm-img.com/images/2023/01/10/A02A3BDF-ADB6-4D52-8819-4C772C18351C.jpeg)

Chris, you probably don't need loads of unhelpful comments ....but, that looks to me like untreated (no primer) metal that's been sprayed with a can of satin black. If it was me (I'm a picky 2009 Roadster owner) I would make a real stink until "they" (MMC or dealer) rectify or better replace.

It's those that see picky as being troublesome that are wrong.

I'd tend to agree - looks like there has been no surface preparation carried out. That won't be easy to rectify satisfactorily and you don't want a half-baked repair that drags on in the usual manner. I'd send the car back. What on earth are Morgan playing at ? Does no one at the factory take ownership of the quality at various stages ?

If I was close to the factory or the dealership then I probably would. Though since I’m the other side of the Irish Sea, I’ll probably try and get it looking as good as I can myself. I might actually put some PPF on the main tubes to prevent future chips and flaking. Although if I make a mistake and have to peel it off it’s gonna take all the paint with it. 😭
Another option I have is to wait until March. And take the car to the Morgan dealership in Cork, Ireland for its 3 month check up and get all the issues sorted, hopefully under warranty there.
