Sorry to read of your tumble Ewan. We don`t bounce as well as we did when younger, which was one of the reasons I gave up throwing m/cycles down the road in my 60`s. Hope you can get back in action soonest.

Commiserations Ewan and hope the recovery is as swift as possible.
I had plates installed for a tib and fib job many years ago (later removed) and the technique used was based in ski injuries. Ironic given I had survived a ski holiday earlier that year and the breaks were caused solely by a stationary self attempting to pull a plane out of a hanger.

That sounds like a nasty fall Ewan. Hope all mends quickly. Make sure you take the pain killers (plus anything you need to deal with their side effects!).

Thanks for all the kind words boys👍 it’s almost embarrassing how well I’ve been treated considering it’s essentially a self inflicted injury, the mountain rescue, the tiny little Meribel medical centre ( a husband and wife business), Aviva provided road transfers, Geneva and Edinburgh airport and even EasyJet. All absolutely excellent, less than 48 hrs after it happened I’d had a CT scan at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary. Currently at home waiting for the call to come back in for what hopefully will be keyhole surgery if it’s not too bad.
So, back to the subject of the thread, now for another episode of “ Suits” while I have my coffee, although I must say if I’d been Harry and had to pick a wife from that program, I’d rather have the spicy red head😁

/excessive thread drift about to occur
Well since you let that genie out of the lamp.
If you are referring to Sarah Rafferty/Donna Paulson, I am with you on that one. Mind you it could be a bias to do with being from a ginger adjacent city.
Good luck with the food in the ARI. Many years ago I did the WiFi in there and the staff refused to eat most of it! I also did Woodend, the new Council building, both Uni's and a few other places. They did not believe I was a local until I bought my birth certificate in. Wrong accent, or maybe no accent.
Get well soon. /sorry.
Everyone loves a Morgan. Even me, unless it's broken again.

Yep, accents here are so varied the next street can have a subtle difference 😁
Apparently, my hospital visit should be short and sweet which suits me fine, the less time in there the better, those places are bad for your health.
It’s not too much of a thread drift really, we both like the Donna Polson character, (if any such woman could actually exist😁).
