My swmbo thinks likewise about the 4/4 Sport and the +8 before it, she thinks they are the most uncomfortable cars ever. She has a Polo GTI the one with the 1.8 5cyl Turbo 150bhp in it and likes driving quickly, I guess it must be the extra metal around that she likes.

The clincher for me having the "toy" was that I either get a Duke 916 or a Morgan and reading some of the posts I should feel grateful.

Good Luck with whatever you buy, could be you just won't be able to sell in the depressed market etc etc evil

p.s. If only she knew about the Ducati reliability she would probably only needed to worry for about 5mins annually !!

Silky smoothy persuasion is what's needed. First a short trip, then to the coast, then a touring holiday. Each stage requires an incentive. Such as tailored neoprene underwear.
I had much less trouble than I expected, but MrsW has always been subjected to raw two seaters - starting with a honeymoon in a Midget. Wasn't she the lucky one........

Dave I thought thee wer a propa Yorkshireman, not silky smooth that's Galaxy Chocolate Dave come on now. Just tell them Dave it's neoprene or nothing - I'm not convinced you don't have shares in it probably on the "Reeperbahn" by the sounds of it.

Our honeymoon was me on contract in Namibia teaching herself to drive in a 3speed column change Holden with 3.1 Ltrs of petrol driven tractor engine and probably about as quick as your Midget.
It worked wonders for constipation teaching her on graded dirt roads at 70 mph, I think the South African Examiner was just relieved to get out in one piece he passed her the Pass paper and ran for the nearest longdrop !!

I'm a lucky boy. My Darling comes from a motorcycling family (actually ran the dealership for 30 years) but now that we are getting on a bit motorcycle touring is out of the picture. She loved the Morgan on our 2 hour test drive and can't wait to drive it herself. The only thing stopping her when we visited the factory was that she has never driven on the "wrong" side of the road. Once we cross to France she will be only too keen to take a turn at the wheel

Well she's going back to Life's at Soutport, for them to sell on my behalf.

They're much more likely to find a buyer than me.

Sad day!

That is the ultimate Lucky Boy a motorbiking family wife.

Wishing you both a good exciting journey back home, this waiting period I liken to having your children. A few differences, not as expensive or noisy as they are and in general the Morgan does all you ask of it. But the wait for delivery is far longer than 9Months even if it is only a week, just everlasting waiting joy and all Morgans are girls for me.

Well, my car has been back at Lifes Motors for a little while and, whilst there has been some interest, no sale as yet.

Whilst there, I've been talking to the wife and she really doesn't want me to get another motorcycle, so I'm toying with the idea of either keeping the 4/4 or maybe doing a deal for the new three wheeler or something a bit nippier - but still Morgan.

I dont know what to do so any thoughts would be appreciated,

My g/f loves my 4/4. I though putting the sports exhaust system on, it would be too noisy but she said she likes it loud! And she thinks it rides better than my previous Z3 on its M Sport suspension....actually, she's probably right there!
