Just after a bit of advice. I'm thinking I might need to sell my 2017 4/4 as I'm one of the Railway workers whose jobs are very much on the line. My question is from anyone who has recently sold a Morgan, did you go private, sell to a dealer or get a dealer to sell on commission for you? I'm aware I can ask my nearest dealer, but any idea what sort of commission they charge nowadays and what would be the best way to proceed. I'm in no desperate hurry at the moment. Car is a standard 4/4 13,000 miles, mine since new. Thanks for any insights from those in the know!

I hope it doesn't come to pass but there is some sound advise here.

Although a non member of MSCC the For Sale worked well for me at low outlay, first customer to respond bought it over the phone, you avoid the dreamers and tyre kickers this way but you have several options Car and Classics being a good one.

I've sold a couple through Brands Hatch. They are completely honourable and do a great job. It takes all the anxiety of tyre kickers, payment methods etc away.
Their fee was 2 thousand at the time and well worth it in my opinion.

That seems very reasonable, although they're a long way from me. If I decide to go ahead I'll contact them. Thanks.

I sold my Plus 8 on commission with New Elms near Shaftesbury. The sale went through quickly and the money was immediately sent to my account. You could give Tim at New Elms a call and I’m sure he will help.

Yes, that's a bit more local to me. Any idea as to what sort of percentage he charges?

He didn't use any smiling or laughing emojis so one would assume not. Why don't you PM him and ask?
