Those seats look great.

When I said I got period appropriate seats, I meant they found me a set of really old ones from my cars vintage. They’re not Concours perfect but they’re prefect for my car, which is a great driver but won’t set any records at Pebble Beach.

I think fixed mounting is quite easy but am still trying to find a set of rails. Maybe MGB mounts.

My front seats have a really basic system - originally a couple of chunks or wood with a semicircle routed down the centre which the seat tubes slide forward and back in. They were held in place with a chunk of flat metal bar which tightened with a bolt/wing nut fastened through the floor.

I lowered my seats and replace the wooden runners with chunks of ally channel on smaller wooden blocks (I don't have a router!)

As are mine, with loose pads sitting on the springs. The first owner visited a couple of weekends ago. He assured me that the seats were as he bought it, and they took the pads out to use in the tent when they went camping. Nothing smart in those days!

Finished and on the way across the pond. I wound up ordering the seats from Intatrim. It took a while because I requested, and they had made, a custom modification to the shells of their standard "Gemini" seat, The seat back is around 4" taller to suit my tallness. Can't wait to see them in person...

They were delivered this morning! Previous plans with the missus so I won't get them unpacked until later this afternoon. Pictures to follow...
