I have a new Morgan Super 3 on order and was looking into insurance for it. I contacted Hagerty Insurance and was told that they would not write insurance for this vehicle. On further inquire it was unclear if they would write insurance for any new Morgan 3 wheel or 4 wheel types. I was surprised and disappointed by this as I have worked with them in the past. They are well known and respected in the industry of insuring interesting and vintage cars and motorcycles and also for supporting our lifestyle with a magazine and club activities. They mostly write insurance for vehicles here in the States but apparently also write insurance for vehicles in England.
So, does anyone know of companies that will write insurance for Super 3's in the States?

I can't speak for the Super 3, but I insure my M3W with Grundy.

I insure my M3W with Progressive here in the USA. I'm impressed... most mainstream car insurers in the UK dont even know what a Morgan 3 wheeler is! I just checked Admiral for example, and they had "Morgan F" but nothing else. Probably their underwriters would be happy to insure an M3W but their onboarding processes are not smart enough to let them get the request...

All my Morgans are insured with Hagerty Insurance the 4 wheeled Mogs for over 25 years. They took on my 2013 M3W with no questions as a motorcycle having an agreed value of $55,000, so far they have renewed every year!!! They even paid out for a new engine on the M3W 5 years ago that saved me $10,000 without raising the premium. If you go with mainstream insurance make sure you read all the small print on all the pages, there have been some unsavory instances with Morgan owners who thought they were covered.

In my experience Haggerty will insure anything, IF you are a 'VIP' in their eye$; they told me I was not  Progressive basically hung up when I had my M3W  State Farm insured the M3W but with restrictions and not agreed value  If it's got a motor and wheels Trish can get you well covered at good rate, and she'll do all the work for you, it's worth it. Does insurance normally cover an engine? Over here Hagerty covers parts, most people don't read their policies or don't ask. I always go by the maxim "if you don't ask you don't get".
