This all sounds 2013 not 2023, problems with handling, quality control, noisy bevel boxes, squeaky drive belts with bad alignment. Owners delighted with driving their new car but things not quite right for an expensive toy and it going back to dealers to try and sort. All very familiar to any M3W owner ten years ago. Yes, it's all most dissapointing. Everyone here wants Morgan to succeed but they keep shooting themselves in the feet. Too many executives and too few engineers?

I have to repeat, my car has had one issue only, a misaligned belt drive. Not sure I’ve read anything about noisy bevel boxes. I’m in no way disappointed with my Super 3, in fact completely the opposite, I love it.

I totally agree with Planenut & Bunny, 2013 all over again, my car was completely underivable at or above 50 mph until I sorted it myself.

The problem is that Morgan aren’t mega wealthy enough to have a car in development for years on gruelling test routes etc etc
So little issues will arise. You guys have very early cars so things will surface.
I used to have franchised dealership for new Ferrari and Maserati about 23 years ago. The situation was exactly the same there where to a certain extent the customers were the testers. The type of issues we had back then with these super expensive cars was shocking.
The 550m was the only car that was sorted straight out of the box

Re: ‘twitchiness’, I talked to someone at Malvern Friday 20th. in a follow up to my previous call and the upshot is that there has been a PDI problem and some Super 3s are leaving with the camber angle incorrectly set. I am assured a visit to my local agent to check the front suspension and adjust as required will sort the problem. The screaming drive belt is also a matter for re adjustment. As a warning I have already damaged the leading underside of one of my sideblades turning off the highway onto the entrance of my property. Am investigating fixing edge seal strips such as used to cover seams in car doors etc to cover the damaged area and to provide some protection in future. I am having trouble locating a ‘U’ shaped seal that will fit the 14.5/15mm thickness of the blade. Google searches seem only to show up to 12mm or 16 to 17mm widths. Can anyone help?

Only issue in using a U-shaped strip is that it will become a trap for water, etc. and could possibly lead to corrosion. Something sticky might be better than press-on?

This mirrors what I was told by the factory as well, although I did not have the twitching but they did check the alignment when they adjusted the belt drive.

Here's hoping mine is one of the "problem PDIs" and the factory fix the issue - I'm really itching to get back behind the wheel as despite everything, driving my Super 3 was an absolute blast! Absence makes the heart grow fonder! Sorry to hear you damaged the side blade though.

Hopefully it is a simple camber fix, but a dealer with a geometry flat floor wasn't able to correct their demo car that had this issue, so it had to be returned to factory.
Lets hope its nothing more serious......
