Graham so sorry to hear this news. Best wishes from New Zealand. You only need to consider all the comments so far to realise what good regard you are held in ( by many).
Kind regards, Brian

So sorry to belatedly hear the news Graham, it seems there is a basic misconception now at the top in MMC about the Morgan heritage and what it means. To me it’s not just about the cars, but also about the people like you and many others who work for the company and live the brand.

They will find out in due course that they are damaging the core essence of the super ‘family’ that has made Morgan the marque it is today. I’m sure you will find something else which will suit your many attributes Graham and as I think Dave has said, please do not become a stranger on TM where you are valued as a core member. 🍻

Graham,
I have come out of hiding to wish you all the best for the future and add to the list of TM readers who feel for your situation with MMC.

Nothing stays the same forever but I feel the Family atmosphere and fun has disappeared at MMC..sure they have a business to run but they ignore the core members at their peril !!

We were the ones who "developed" the cars in the field at often a our expense and with a happy heart but will the new prospective owners be prepared to take the "foibles" and "character" of a £100 grand car in the same way ?..I dont think so !!!

All the best...and roll on retirement Graham!!!

Long live the Trads !!!

Well said Kev!

I missed the words till now - being concerned abut things going on in Malvern.
Enthusiastic staff is not always easy to handle, but defo a gem in any form pf crisis.

Sorry for you Graham. As I got to know you as very loyal to MMC and an enthusiastic anchor in TM.
So the door to MMC to many forum members.

So culture seems to be changing - hope they can turn this around!

All the best!

Sad news Graham. Hope you can find alternatives. No doubt we’ll meet at events and chat again. Looking forward to those.
As for MMC......it looks like another change where the heritage aspects and people involved is changing. For the better or worse? What is the plan being pushed? I can see the target buyers/market changing but I think leaving behind the old school side as a mistake. The publicity from Morgans being seen at events, day to day spots is big. We all tell of peoples’ responses, approaches, photo opportunities, tv mentions etc that promote the brand. Factory tours is a “nice little earner” too. How are they going to fare? Increased sales pitch versus education and enlightenment?
Anyway, good luck Graham. See you out and about cheers

So you found the right words, Miklos. I can only agree to this aspect.

That MMC no longer wants to employ you, Graham, is not only ignorant but an extreme stupidity, considered from MMC's own self-interest point of view.

I was having a drink and chatting about Morgans with a chap in my local last night.
I discovered he was worth around £4 million, and he told me the amazing story of how he got so rich.

Basically when he left school he had little or no qualifications but he was good with his hands and he knew how to sell.
He left school at 16 and with some money loaned from his Dad he bought an old 4/4 and spent a few weeks fixing it up. He sold it for a good profit, and used the money to buy another and so on.
He did this continually over the next 35 years, buying, repairing, selling.
Even during the real bad times he plugged away.
He worked long hours as you do in that trade, sometimes not seeing his wife and kids in the evenings or weekends in pursuit of his goal.
Then his uncle died and left him £4 million.

Graham, sorry to hear about your job. My wife and I both really enjoyed your tour last summer on our vacation to the UK. We loved your stories and anecdotes. MMC tours will be losing a bit without you. If you decide to move out to Texas let me know, and I'll help get you set up with something! smile

That said, to add some humor:

Restaurant patron: “Waiter, I’d like a bottle of wine.”

Waiter: “What year, sir?”

Patron: “Well, I’d like it right now.”
