Footman James for me. Pay about £270 a year, but that's with every single modification listed (near enough a full A4 sheet!). Also get access so the Classic and Chrome network, where they organise regular breakfast meets for classic and interesting cars.

I've used LV for the last 10 years and they have always been pretty competative especially as I have multi car insurance.

Comparing car insurance costs between different folk can be fraught as there are so many variables involved. Your personal driving record, postcode, age, insurance claims, who else is driving the vehicle, where the vehicle is housed, how the vehicle will be used, age of vehicle, annual mileage, value of vehicle, etc.. Given the current climate of increasing costs and associate risks 406 GBP does not seem to be an unreasonable price.

Been with Gott & Wynne for years, had a couple of claims but competitive prices and always 5***** service.

Gott and Wynne have always been good value. I've tried the others but always end up with G & W.

I had the same experience with Headley. I was with them for years with my 4/4, then with no claims or other risk changes the premium was increased by a silly amount. The only change was their new owners! I then changed to PBIS.
I have now changed cars to a S1 Roadster and the quotes from specialist insures ranged from mid £200s to mid £400s. I found the best quote was by Heritage, Good customer service too.

You're complaining about £400 a year for insurance? Lucky you're in the UK and not the USA. Our two daily drivers are a bit over $1,000 a year together and the Morgan is $500 for limited use as an antique. And, we get a "good driver" and multi-car discount on the daily drivers...

Yes but the cost of living in the USA is cheaper generally, what is the cost of an average detached house where you live ?

I just paid my insurance in Spain for my M3W: 1.183,23 € = £ 1.056,44 = 1.274,73 US$

And here comes the funny part: in the UK or the USA your salaries are twice what we earn here for most of the job positions. And I assure you that we pay more taxes. LOL! Stop complaining! slap

Perhaps there’s more accidents and insurance claims in other countries pushing up premiums? Or their insurance market is not as competitive as here in the UK.
