7) So far as waiting all summer for parts.
There is a poor guy who has been waiting for engine parts through Autumn, Winter,Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter and still waiting despite his vehicle being under manufacturers warranty
Be surprised if that's the case - if you know where to look you can find parts.....really depends what parts he needs....

Be surprised if that's the case - if you know where to look you can find parts.....really depends what parts he needs.... You should not be surprised, the guy posts on the same facebook groups as you. "If you know where to look" translates to, not readily available to all. A boat load of parts are not much good if in does not include the part that is required.

Personally, if I had a M3W I'd be looking at swapping out the S&S and fitting a more mainstream Harley motor. No way would I change the engine type. The V2-MTW is sure to become a collector's item. Then the original engine also belongs in the car. I'm sure there will be remanufacturing parts when parts from the S&S factory are no longer available. Perhaps initiated by the Morgan Threewheeler Club? I drive a 1946 Indian Chief and every engine and transmission part is available as a replacement for this engine.

The engine license has been bought by a chinese company , and all the measure have been changed in metric . The parts will not fit in old engine.

The switch to metric does not bother me personally, a small part of my two engines are already in metric, the main thing is that there are spare parts to repair.

I'd rather have a reliable working vehicle than a non-running collectors item! Fingers crossed someone starts to remanufacture the parts, or (as I've seen mentioned by another owner) lots of people will be left with expensive boat anchors. Personally I reckon an old carbed harley lump would suit the M3W perfectly

There have been loads of rumours about what S&S have done, is this one confirmed? Also, I understood all the X-Wedge tooling was part of the deal so although the measurements may have changed to metric it's possible the component sizes remain the same.
