IcePack, why not just push the old bearing out and get a new one from a bearing supplier ?

Having the local gearbox guy go over the T-9 I picked up. He was supposed to get a bell housing for it but ran into some issues. I ordered one online Friday night from Burton, It was shipped on Saturday and arrived at my house across the pond on Tuesday. I can't get things shipped in the US that fast.

David, hadn’t thought of that. I’ll see if I can find a bearing supplier. Thanks.

Pauly, it sounds like you are making some progress on your winter project.
I'm getting close to done with mine. I had the exhaust work done yesterday. I finally get to remove the "Powered by Singer" bumpersticker!

But it won't shut your battery down if there's a short to something metal anywhere along the +ve lead .... an inline fuse right up near the +ve terminal stops that fire risk

Put the drivers side Aero silencer/side pipe back on after disassembly. ![[Linked Image]](https://i.imgur.com/kLUSEOK.jpeg) I had removed it from front cap to investigate increase in noise on that side together with a few more pops and bangs than usual on overrun. All looks good though with wadding and mesh in place around perforated straight through pipe. Suspect the IAC now since the issue is mainly at low revs. Could that affect just one bank though? Further symptoms were an intermittent long delay in throttle closing (you can hear when it does) although idle in neutral was normal. At one point whilst driving through a village the car held 30 mph for several seconds with foot off

Strange Richard. It might be a manifold air leak on the inlet side I guess. Hopefully cleverer people will come back on this. If you haven't already why not try the Mustang Owners forums

Found some time today to reassemble the handbrake with new quadrant and pawl. Found the new pawl didn't retract enough to clear the quadrant jamming the handbrake. Inspecting the new parts, the quadrant was OK although the countersinking for the fixing screw was too deep, but the pawl was different. See photo. Needless to say the pawl is on its way back for a refund and I shall have to use the old pawl. Maybe the pawl is correct for later cars, but the one supplied is different to the one on Melvyn Rutter's site. ![[Linked Image]](https://www.tm-img.com/images/2023/02/09/IMG_1146.jpeg) ![[Linked Image]](https://www.tm-img.com/images/2023/02/09/IMG_1147.jpeg) ![[Linked Image]](https://www.tm-img.com/images/2023/02/09/IMG_1148.jpeg)
