Something a little different for you all today.

My Plus Four was back in Malvern in January for its complimentary spa treatment... I mean check in and tune up. With that sorted it needed to be returned but we've been down in London for a spell so Morgan kindly arranged for the car to be dropped off down here. Alas work has kept me pretty busy of late so I hadn't had many opportunities to drive the car. There was a window yesterday, however, and I jumped at the chance to drive in to Morgan Works London with a friend for a coffee with Greg and a look at the new Plus Four and Plus Six.

It's such a different thing driving the Morgan in London than in the Dales. Traffic and noise and bustle. But somehow the horror of the north London circular is significantly lessened with the sun on your face and the smiles and waves of passing motorists replacing the aggressive honks and waves that involve rather fewer fingers.

I really love visiting the London showroom, not least as it was the first place I sat in and later drove a Morgan. It feels a little like a destination in its own right, and I can see it becoming a sort of hang out for Morgan owners in the city as it further establishes itself there.

I'm not sure when I'll next have the Plus Four down here so it felt important to make the trek with it over to the shop for some pics at its place of 'conception'.

I do really love driving my Plus Four. Its just such a wonderful place to be and such a wonderful place from which to make memories. I know the friend I brought along on the trip had an amazing time. And while he may never get a Morgan himself, just that little outing was a real treat and will be a lasting memory for him. It's a privilege to be able to share that with people and I feel really lucky to have one myself with which to do so.

Not the Dales. But the banality of North London is made more whimsical with the Morgan's presence.

Hope you're all well and that open roads and clear skies are enjoyed this weekend!

Hello Sepncer.

as always, these are great photos. The brick building and the cobblestone street is the right scenery for your green Morgan thumbs

Really great pictures and a beautiful color of your Morgan. BTW I don't like the new dash nearly as much as yours. It has lost some of the lightness and dynamics by omitting the angled line to the left of the steering wheel. Also, the steering column looks visually cramped. And without the trapezoidal framing, the buttons, switches and instruments appear to be simply scattered across the surface like Halma tiles on a game board.

That's the reason I always used to drive the car a short distance after a wash.....

I could not agree more Heinz. I hadn’t twigged the squaring off of the dash left of the steering wheel. I assume this is because the whole dash is now an Ali face rather than the embedded instrument face previously. But it does lack elegance by Morgan’s design standards. I know there are real benefits to having airbags but losing the veneer dash seems a step back.

Ps. Nice update as usual Spencer. I’ve not been to MWL but will try and make it happen this spring if I can.

Looking forward to some nice days!

Lovely pictures.... it reminds me I should use my Leica occasionally rather than my iPhone. Great natural colour tones and available light.

If you tell me they're from an iPhone I might have to eat my hat!! smile

They are really nice photos, the subject matter helps....!
Morgan London will be asking to use them....!!!
I agree that the new dash doesn't look as good as the old one, it looks a bit DIY, cheap.......
