GParkins ... good to hear you're seeing a noticeable improvement for your work ... will be interested to hear how it works out more long term. Would be good to see some engine bay pics of your new setup

Hard to tell but his mojo is back given his racing around the garden this morning. Now look forward to resuming his regular walkies wink

Not directly related but spent the morning re-setting one of the canopy garage doors which prohibited Morton's entry yesterday evening when it all jammed up. Quite dramatic when those long springs unwind unintendedly!

I'm now an expert on setting them up - for a day or two at least innocent

I like that pic a lot too... (-: Interesting throttle and fuel pipe arrangement on the Webers..different from the set up`s I have seen on early Lotus Elans, though having cross flow heads perhaps made things simpler for them.. I do like a nice pair... of Webers..!

I read some anecdotal stories of difficulty in synchronising with the three drop rod throttle linkages that seem to be the only choice for conversion kits. Instead, I opted for the Webcon bottom-mount linkage, as I wanted to keep the top of the carbs as clean and uncluttered as I could. As with anything, there are tradeoffs. The bottom mount linkage is easy to work with on the bench, but in place, it presents access challenges. All in all, I'm happy with my choice and don't plan to change.

Raining to day in Port Macquarie so decided to spend some time with the Morgan. First I fitted the pan hard rod from SSL then the spring assists from Rog followed by greasing the front end and finished up with a coat of ceramic detailer. With the car on the hoist meant that every thing was easily accessible from underneath so I did not have to remove the tool tray, even applying the ceramic detailer to all but the top surfaces was easily done without bending down. A successful and enjoyable day and the car looks a treat and ready for a test drive when the weather clears.
