Ignoring the dragster, I think the biggest shunt his 'Max suffered was just 9 miles from me, on the Gloucester by-pass, where he would turn right onto the A417 to head toward Ledbury... One of the cars he went into was actually a friend of a friend If the account is to be believed, one of the first things he said when he got out of his Aeromax was, "we've jut proven a Nissan has better brakes than a Morgan!" How many Aeromax SS are being made? How much are they? No limit to the number, base price £130,000 but again, options on top; most seem to be £135,000+

2 of the RHD ones have been written off (there may be others I do not know of) and as Graham said, Hammond wrote about his accident(s) in Top Gear (I believe he had a few but one was larger than the others). Weren't two more built to replace them Simon?

What are the differences between an Aeromax and an Aeromax SS (apart from the £20k price gap)?

I could live with that the int and the ext . But that aerial sticking up is like a bad after thought . The wind will bend it at high speed in the aluminum body . JTL

Weren't two more built to replace them Simon? I believe one more prototype was built to replace the factory car that was written off. Rumour is that it will never be sold and will end up in the MMC museum (if it survives that long ). What are the differences between an Aeromax and an Aeromax SS (apart from the £20k price gap)? The main differences are the scalloped rear end (with accessible deep boot) and the removable targa panel to accommodate open air driving. The Aeromax strays from traditional Morgan design in that it is only the second fixed head coupe the factory has ever made; the first being the Morgan +4+ which only made it to 28 sold due to a very poor reception, which reflected in low sales. The Aeromax, however, was over subscribed and had a waiting list for people to drop off the waiting list.

However the brown wood with the red leather is possibly a colour combination that is a bit marmite for a lot of folks... Mmmm... Tend to agree. If a pair of shoes in a particular colour would be considered in poor taste, then why spec it for the leather in a car? Also, could never understand why so many Porsches have light grey leather...

Same engine and transmission? 17 left makes the Aeromax very unique.
