True. But whoever expected cars of the late 80s/90s with the new ECU tech, to be restorable. But they are. The independent aftermarket steps in. Where there's a demand, there's a profit to be made.

Surely Morgan will get an exemption come 2030 ( if that ever happens ) as they produce so few cars, as for electrical parts well that's a whole other can of worms, even my VW Beetle had to go as the ECU was on the unobtainable list from the factory if was only 15 years old and I had it from new.
Here for a good time not a long time!! Reg

I do wonder with Morgan looking more and more overseas in reducing it's reliance on UK market, may be part of their solution, allowing them to still produce ICE post 2030, but only for overseas markets. I also wonder if the 2030 UK sale ban does hold, whether Northern Ireland as its part of the EU will still be able to supply and register ICE in NI for the UK domestic market, as the EU ban is still beyond 2035.

If MMC simply buy in a packaged hybrid drivetrain (doesn't even have to be PHEV) that gives them until 2035

I am writing a series of articles on the Plus Six for the magazine of the Morgan Sports Car Club Holland. Part 1 was published last December. In March part 2 will appear. In it I will reveal that 881 Plus Six cars were produced.

Thank you. That's a bit healthier. C.20-25% of production over 6 years, allowing for Covid.

And how many of the 881 have been crashed & written off? What proportion of the 881 Plus Six were UK registered? Let’s assume 50% for sake of argument. That’s 440. There’s 147 registered or on SOR, according to “how many left”. Therefore over 50% of those made for the UK now written off? I doubt it, my assumption of those made for the UK must be wide of the mark, but even if it were 25% (220) then that’s 1/3 written off. Interesting.

You can still order a Z4 but product is ending soon with the 'run out' manual gearbox model.

In The Netherlands 3 early P6s got scrapped, all as a result of one sided accidents. One should ask, what % of pre MY23 got wriiten off. I will look into that as I have the numbers for NL. Interestingly, non of those 3 cars, were crashed by members of MSCCH! This shows you (…) a membership pays off! ;-)
