Issues for US Super 3s-
-Where do the "snails eyes" go
-Where do the extra driving lights go
-What about the added reinforcement for the front suspension as part of the light bracket

I just wanted to mention, it wasn't me that called them snails eyes, I think it was Jonathan Wells!

We need more pictures of North American bound Super 3s from the factory to resolve these questions.

As potential customers they (MMC) should respond to a request from you boys I would have thought if they are half awake to the future market wink
Worth a try contacting them I would have thought.

I have asked Dennis at MorganWest, apparently we will find out very shortly. If anyone at Malvern reads these messages, can we have an update on the US configuration for the headlamps and indicators please?.

If I was to make an educated guess, the center lights would need to be DOT symmetrical dipped pattern (or dip/high beam) and illuminated with engine running and the existing headlights can remain the same but with DOT marking and symmetrical dip pattern.
Just checked the CIBIE catalogue, looks like the center lights will need to be Oscar 7 inch auxiliary Halogens to have the dip/main function, LED dip/main is not available as 7 or 6 inch.

Does that mean the EU / UK driving lights in the middle, headlights outside is simply reversed for the US market? ie headlights in the middle, driving lights in the headlamp sockets

Theoretically the EU/UK driving lights become headlights in the middle, and the outside headlights would stay as headlights and support the snails eye indicators, but I just speculating until official direction is revealed. Only downside to this would be having to have 7 inch lamps in the center position instead of 6 inch spotlights, but could be swapped for 6 inch CIBIE LED lamps after delivery.

Only item from this morning was my right hand getting cold! The airflow hits your right hand as it’s not quite protected by the little screens.

I ordered the smaller 13 inch steering wheel which brings your hand in a touch out of the airflow - plus I've taken to holding the wheel at the 4 o'clock position in my right hand to get it down behind the bodywork when I'm on dual carriageways. Either way, its a good test for gloves that claim to be 'wind and waterproof'! I've ditched two sets so far that let in water and cold air. Going to invest in some proper motorcycle gloves - probably heated.

Many M3W owners had the same issue with the small aero screens, a cold right hand. This was overcome by the Fairborne screen that was wider and gave some protection to your outer hand. When MMC produced their own version, "inspired" by the Fairborne screen, they didn't quite realise the reason for it being a bit wider and went with a stylised version that was narrower.....so you still got a cold hand. Moral being, if you are going to copy something at least understand the reasons why it is different to what you originally designed.

And what is even more amusing is that the Fairbourne Carriages V screen was an updated version of the V screen fitted to the 1930s V twin Morgans by, er.... the Morgan Motor Company. So MMC copied a copy of their own product. Maybe Duncan Wood at Fairbourne Carriages can be persuaded to produce an aftermarket screen for the Super 3.
