I like the look of those minilites with the yellow of your car. Looks adventurous and ready to go.

I recall reading that you have slightly stiffer rear springs, and that gives you a little bit more height. Do you not find your tyres catch at the front when on full lock? Other way round - I have 4 leaf rears, rather than the original rock solid 7 leaf. No issues with tyres catching front or back - I have 195 fronts and 205 rears, although probably change to 195 all round when I need new tyres. Managed to fit a 195 spare in the spare wheel well, so makes sense to have everything the same. Was worried that steering would be more difficult at the front but bizarrely I find it better than the previous 165 Contis. However they were 10yrs old, so I imagine they were quite rigid and lacked any flexibiliy. I actually found the steering better running the old tyres at 28psi, whereas I'm back down to 22psi with the fat Avons. I fitted the tyres at the same time as the new rear leafs and the panhard rod, so handling improved dramatically, but more likely due to the mods rather than the tyres.

How old are the Minilites? Original Minilites were mostly Magnesium and were specifically designed as a a lightweight (the clue is in the name) wheel for reducing unsprung weight when racing. Magnesium degrades with time and so proper Minilights must be checked for integrity and weaknesses and are not likely to be useable after a period of years. Of course, they have been copied by a number of wheel manufacturers over many years and the copies are made in much stronger aluminium alloys, but the original weight saving is lost and they are simply a styling exercise nowadays. Stick with the steels and you can't go wrong. Personally I really like the Bumblebee colour scheme and would sell the Minilites.

To be honest I prefer the Minilites because it gives the Morgan such a fresh timeless sporty 60's look. In my opinion exactly with this light silver colour as is. There is only one aspect I would reconsider. Isn't 195/60 too much width for a 4/4? I would imagine narrower Minilites to be able to continue to drive 165/80. Just test it out. Maybe it works super cool with 195/60. When I bought the car it came with a brand-new set of 195/65. I found these were rubbing on the inside of the rear wheel arch so when I spoke to the dealer, they kindly covered the cost of some new vredestien T track 165/80 and these have been superb So I’m also not sure about fitting the 19560 in case it has the same effect. But I think I’ll run the minilites for awhile to see if I like the look and if I do, I’ll take the 185/60 off the steel wheels and fit them to the minilites Probably you have written a number mistake? You meant 165/80 and not 185/60? Anyway, do you know the exact size of your Minilite wheels? Are they narrow enough to take 165/80? That would be perfect for the TTrac2. Otherwise, I would follow Tim's advice and choose 185/70.

Huge fan of Minilites but both look good. I’d keep both sets and swap around when the mood suits 😊

Good choice on the Minilites.
For an even better look, go for stainless wires and 2 eared spinners.....

Depending of what kind of look you want. To me, Minilites is a 60ies - 70ies thing, which the Morgan is not - mimicking a pre-war design. So for me the black rims with hubcaps, I find it more period. That said, Minilites do give a more racy look, so nothing wrong with that either. I would keep the original colour, though. As for wire wheels, very nice look - perhaps the best, but a pain to keep clean. I have them, they were on when I got the car. But if I were to buy a new one, I would have specced it with alloys. Too much hassle to keep shiny and clean.

I’m not sure of the minilite size and other than taking the photo shared earlier they have been in the garage I really like the car on the narrower TTrac2 so keeping/using the minilites longer term will be governed by not having to go too wide on the tyres Be interesting to see how it feels with the fitted 195s
