Sospan - the real issue was that a bloke in another county wanted to sell a site to the company for the facility so to scupper the planning application he started a rumour that the grid wouldnt cope with the server farm in the first county. Purely a matter of greed!!

I A local power station ( now long gone) discharged warm water into adjoining estuary. The outlet was a popular place to fish. Sea water sucked in for cooling and warm water exiting. Same thing at the now defunct Bradwell power station in Essex, the fish loved it though not sure how safe it was to eat them.
