This story still has legs, but as long as Freddie comes out the other end intact I couldn't care less about the program per se, it takes zero talent to destroy cars and tyre shred so I haven't watched it for around 5 years..
Well said. Hopefully Liftoff will recover, and grow a new face, but surely the damage to TG won't recover. FF is 6' 4", did MMC do a simulation of what hapens if you have a really tall driver in a Super 3 ? The centre of gravity will move up, and the whole shebang will likely become unstable in certain situations. That early pic of Tiff in an M3W is really scary. What do the Speedy Marmots have to say about this ?

Thanks for that - no not for Tiff but a reminder of that wonderful force of nature and amazing driver who was the Queen of The Ring, sadly no longer with us.

In freakish similarities I also once drove a car that wasn't mine, with no airbags, too fast and had a rather impressive crash involving serious head injuries.
However, as a result of my crash, no TV programmes were cancelled, nobody predicted the downfall of Austin cars and I was back to work and behind the wheel a week after release from ICU and hospital. (I say 'work' but it was actually school )
I'm sure that Freddie is a more than competent driver, it also says that it wasn't a high speed accident. Surprisingly little detail has been made available, which may indicate that the cause of the accident is contentious.
The fact that he hasn't appeared publicly since the accident makes me fear that his facial injuries were serious.
I like the guy and I hope he makes a full recovery.

Not so big now, are you Flintoff
That seems a rather cruel response.....
I keep thinking about the passenger, one of the crew. It's unlikely he/she escaped unharmed but no mention anywhere. Could this person's health be the reason why Freddie is "emotionally damaged" by the accident?
