I am little surprised no one has mentioned the passing of Paul given his well known love of Morgans.
I remember seeing his (at least I believe it was) AeroMax with the stunning purple interior years back. I was so close to putting my hand in my pocket that day. Not something I say often (or do).
I remember seeing his later Aero +8 on one of the Dog's Home videos and thinking what a great advert it was for the car with him and that setting. No idea where he set the dog mind you.
I cannot imagine some of the issues he faced but always thought his manner as Paul was the mark of a decent gentleman. I would imagine his life would make an interesting documentary/film.
Everyone loves a Morgan. Even me, unless it's broken again.

He had a very unassuming nature which drew you in to enjoy his self depracating natural scouse charm. His love and dedication to animals was immense, I shall always remember the programs when he went to Southern Africa to the refuge centres there, he raised their profile immeasurably.
He was first and foremost a lovely human being.

He did a lot of good in the world and will be much missed. I loved his Sunday evening read 2 show. His autobiographies are well worth a read - he writes how he speaks ( I suspect he dictated them for later transcription ) - you can tell he didn't use a ghost writer.

It seems he past away on March 28th. He was only 67 years old. We did love him in the series "For the love of dogs" here on Belgian television. We will miss him. RIP.

I have been hunting for the photo's as it was such a beautiful car. Perhaps saying as much about the AeroMax as the spec Paul selected. It is hard to show the rich colour of the leather, in the flesh it was a beautiful match to the Deco theme of the car. The photo's are terrible so I only share a couple, apologies. The interior of the Max with the roof wood centre spine, rear clamshell windows and aluminium fittings for them was beyond anything on even volume production cars from Mercedes, Bentley etc? Given the resources, Morgan achieved something truly special with the Max, inside and out. I wish I had found my wallet that day. Who ever owns that car today is a lucky one. All you Max owners have something special (meant only with admiration). Paul had lovely taste. ![[Linked Image]](https://www.tm-img.com/images/2023/03/30/IMG_0275_zps72b8b580.jpeg) ![[Linked Image]](https://www.tm-img.com/images/2023/03/30/IMG_0292_zps2baa582f.jpeg)

Like Jon I really enjoyed his Radio 2 show, but we missed most of his TV work as we were overseas. One of life’s gentlemen, a sad loss…

Yes, I was searching for a phot of him and the Plus 8 that followed when I came across a youtube of him on a TV program taking his test.
I cannot imagine the insurance company.
So you do drag work, oh not car racing. Spend a lot of time in bars and night clubs as a profession You have just passed your test you say? No previous insurance The car is a what? Morgan AeroMax V8 Handbuilt
