Craig, that's a nice set of picture and you can see the blacking up of parts progressing and change of wheel spinners journey.
I think originally they had one Brooklands screen too. This one got converted from a Speedster to a straight 4/4 at the factory before it escaped, your favourite Grey Craig.

Amrum's prereg stage with single screen..

If memory serves me correctly, that grey Speedster morphed into the 4/4 80th that then went to Geneva. When I spec'd mine I was able to see said car and questioned why it didn't have the side screen storage which it wouldn't since started as a Speedster. Thankfully I clocked this as all 80ths were about to be built without said storage! MMC thought it kind to add it as a cost option which was a tad off putting seeing as a bog standard 4/4 had it free!!

Apologies but for slight thread drift. smile

Could this blue 1964 Morgan be a plus 4 though ?

Yes that is a 1960s +4 Super Sports (a real one) . It was owned in the 1970s by a Welshman called Brian Jenkins and I competed against it at the annual Bentley Drivers Club Silverstone Morgan race on several occasions. He was one of the few racers who still used the bench seat, not really conducive to side support while cornering at racing speeds!

Andy

Didn't it also have some connection with Peter Morgan as well.

John Worrall then had it for a bit but I think he sold it?

Arwyn

I am not sure about the PM connection , but John Worral definitely owned it for a while . I think it showcased a lot of his HoE parts . He did sell it and I think it might have passed through Richard Thorne at one point. Unsure where it is now.

Used 4/4 Sigma I hardly find in the German ads. Here the only one at the moment I can find, a 2010 Sigma 4/4 Sports with probably still Ford transmission for just under 55.000€ (wish does not have to become reality). For a 4/4 without extras and standard color etc. a bold sum in my view compared to the fair sounding 30.000 GBP for the nice blue 4/4 at the beginning of this thread.
There are not so few 4/4 in circulation but I think hardly anyone will sell his 4/4 as long as he is healthy and does not need money. Roadster you always see others in the ads.

I think you are right Heinz. Allon-White had a highly specified late model 4/4 on their books very briefly recently - it sold a lot quicker than the 4/4 Sport they have for sale.

Mrs F tells me that our 4/4 is a keeper and won't be changed for anything newer or more powerful.

I bought my first Morgan with four wheels in 2017. Still totally in love with the car and it gets better with every mile.

once: Black M3W with „Jaffa“ leather; 2015
now: Sport grey 4/4 with black leather; 2017
