Which wheels for my next Morgan? that is the question !

I just bought a 2008 Morgan Roadster equipped with the same alloy wheels as on the +8 :

Is it complicated to switch to central axles to mount file rims?

I've seen this type of adapter, but I don't know if it's recommended equipment :

I personally like these aluminum rims very much. They are nice and light and make the car very drivable. My first roadster had them too. It is of course a matter of personal taste. But I would pay attention to the additional weight of the unsprung masses. The adapter solutions are usually much heavier than just screw hubs or central locking hubs. Maybe paint the aluminum wheels black? On the other hand, it is a nice contrast as it is.

It's true that it's rather pretty, but I really liked the file wheels of my sport 4/4 :

Your 2008 Roadster is probaly just a few cars away from my 2009 one. Mine has the factory spec 205-55-16 wire wheels/tyres combo. If you want the same visual appearance as on you Sport 4/4 (which had 165-80-15 according to your photo) with quite a lot of room in the wheel arches, you may want to consider a smaller wheel diameter or tyre profile, or possibly raise the front suspension a bit.

I prefer the alloys. If you were in the UK would happily swap.

Definitely stick with the alloys - the ride and handling is so much better. I have had Roadsters with both wire and alloy wheels and would never choose wires again.

Indeed, painting the rims black could be an alternative.
But that's a lot of black, because the interior is black too....
