I am afraid you're right Alan The restart after the last crash was initially looking like it would be a 2 lap open sprint but it was not to be It had the makings of a great event with 140,000 + crowd and clear weather - such a shame

Two very odd crashes - there wasn't an obvious reason for either Albon or Magnusson to have the accidents they did, and they're both experienced & reliable finishers. Maybe as evening fell, their tyre temperatures dropped off?
This year's wing mirrors are bigger: and not big enough yet to judge by the number of collisions!
Overall, the field does seem to be closing up. Red Bull are fastest by maybe 0.5 seconds a lap today - but fragile, which can only give the rest hope. You'd take the fast unreliable car every race though, wouldn't you!
& has Verstappen matured? He's no longer trying to win every corner at all costs.

Just watched some of the highlights. What a fiasco at the end. Not very interested anymore. Give me Moss, Clark, Hill, Stewart and the rest back then in the 60s. That was proper racing.

He doesn't have to - the car is so quick along the straights overtaking is a breeze. Look how he left Lewis for dead.

Well, perhaps we should console ourselves that nobody got a 5 second penalty for being an inch off their grid slot !

The end was a total farce.
The near crash just before the third restart when they all slowed up and compressed on the bend was just frightening. Some very odd decisions by the video ref on that one.
Love Melbourne and all that showed was that RB have a gap you could park an AMG in. Ferrari once again made Italy cry. Best thing was Alonso being on the podium again, lets hope we don't have a dodgy points off-on this time.
Everyone loves a Morgan. Even me, unless it's broken again.

Will I watched the race from start to finish and there were some head-scratching moments. It was a joke of a finish and no way to end a race.....
